Privacy Notice
Last updated
We collect only what you send us through the contact and newsletter forms. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and this site sets no cookies of its own.
Stacklane Group (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have.
It applies to stacklanegroup.com only. It does not cover information handled under a client engagement, which is governed by the relevant services agreement.
Who is responsible
Stacklane Group operates from Auckland, New Zealand and Manila, Philippines. We are subject to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, for our Philippines operations, the Data Privacy Act 2012.
For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights below, contact us at [email protected] or on 0800 345 720.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you complete the contact form we collect your name, work email, company, phone number if you provide one, the enquiry category you select, and your message. If you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, timestamp — as a normal part of serving and securing the site.
What we do not collect. This site contains no analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking. We do not build behavioural profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss working together.
- To send the newsletter you asked for, and only until you unsubscribe.
- To keep the site secure, diagnose faults, and prevent abuse.
- To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We rely on your consent for the newsletter, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries for the contact form.
Third parties who process data on our behalf
- Google Fonts. This site loads the Cairo and Inter typefaces from Google’s content delivery network. Doing so discloses your IP address and general request metadata to Google. If you would prefer this not to happen, the fonts can be self-hosted — tell us and we will treat it as a legitimate request.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the server logs described above.
- Our email and CRM providers, used to receive and manage enquiries.
Some of these providers operate outside New Zealand, which means your information may be stored or processed overseas. We only use providers that are required to protect it to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and then for any period required by law or for legitimate business records. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may:
- ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy;
- ask us to correct anything inaccurate;
- withdraw consent to the newsletter at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us;
- ask us to delete information where we have no continuing need or legal obligation to keep it;
- complain to us, and — if you are not satisfied — to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
We will respond to a request within 20 working days.
Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and reputable providers to protect personal information. No online transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the affected people and the Privacy Commissioner as the Act requires.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change, and will revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use information already collected will be communicated directly where we hold contact details.
